13th 2005. Walk Day.
How
it was in 2005.
We could organise
everything to run just perfectly.. but there is nothing anybody
can do about the weather and as this is Wales I guess..... it
rained !!
The morning
of the 2005 walk saw the fine rain start at about 9.. We still
had quite a good turn out though.. we got about 140 walkers warming
up in the rain and ready for a 1 O'Clock start off. The atmosphere
was fantastic.. The people who did turn up were determined to
have a good time, and they did.
With that amount of walkers.. we are hoping to raise about 15K
or even more this year .. which will be fab for our first year
event.
We had Bob
Champion doing the Y.M.C. in a soggy field (which was a bit of
a sight) and everybody was really in high spirits.
The walk went
really well and I have got some great pictures
of some of the people who dressed up for the day and a few of
the sights that they saw on the route..
People loved
the walk.. they have already been contacting me about next year...
So get your sponsership money in and we can start planning for
next year.
